Great people running a true dive bar with the best pizza in Tacoma. Very down to earth spot for drinks, whenever.

Amazing pizza some of the best in town. Be prepared for a lot of creativity and love in their cooking, this is a dive bar with actual dive bar charm. I love going and asking for the chef's special on the pizza and say, make it however you want, no seafood. I've never been disappointed. The drinks are pretty decent as well. Best to check online to see if there're any food specials for the week, meat bingo, etc.

Was here the day before and decided to return last night but had a very different experience. The wings were incredibly salty, i could not eat them. Charged for shots we didn't get or order. Bartender overwhelmed and may have thought we were drunk but girl far from it.Yelled you don't have to tip me when we questioned the extra amount. Still tipped you because we had a good time. I felt embarrassed and not listened to but scolded like a child. I remember the Bartender telling us it was her last night there at the Tipsy Tomato. Ms Bartender remember your attitude determines your direction so always provide the best customer service possible. Please know that no one is perfect and you too make mistakes. I wish you well on your new journey.****editing my review from 1 star to 5, my friend that was with me spoke with owner, she apologized for the Bartender's behavior and told us to return for a free round of drinks and a much better experience. We went back and she definitely kept her word. We had a wonderful night with great food and drinks and the best customer service. Glad i gave this hidden gem another try!

Had a great night at this awesome dive. Pizza menu is legit and the atmosphere is great. We came on a Monday which is Bingo night. Good tequila selection, plenty good food options, & phenomenal bartenders. I’ll be frequenting this place for sure.

Awesome little dive bar with awesome food! Good wings! We got the Ultimate Hawaiian Pizza! So good! And can’t wait come try more cause there are a crazy amount of options and toppings, sandwiches, salads. If you haven’t come try it out! Do it.

We went mid day and ordered a level 4 weird pizza. It was DELICIOUS! The chef came out to tell us about what he put on it and again to see if we liked it. The bartender was great too. It's a perfect neighborhood bar. Anyone that came through the door was happily greeted by other patrons. We quickly got pulled into their comraderie and it was such a fun place. PLUS. Their sign says "People suck. Pizza doesn't, pizza understands" and that's a message I can get behind.

Tipsy tomato is some of the best pizza and definitely best "dive bar" vibes in Tacoma. Even the specialty menus changing every week are delicious. Just had the brisket grilled cheese and it was to die for.

A very very welcoming place, first time I ever came in I was welcomed whole heartedly by everyone, staff and customers both. Also they have one of the best bloody Marys I have ever enjoyed. Only reason atmosphere got a 4 star is because it is a dive bar and while I love it some might not.
